Welcome to Bedtime Sparkles. By creating an account or using our service you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use Bedtime Sparkles.
Bedtime Sparkles (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides an AI-powered platform that generates personalised bedtime stories for children. Access to story generation is provided on a subscription basis as described on our Pricing page.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and subscribe to Bedtime Sparkles. By registering you confirm that you meet this age requirement. Our service is intended for use by parents and caregivers on behalf of children — children may not create their own accounts.
New accounts receive up to three (3) complimentary stories within 7 days of signup, at no charge and with no payment details required. This free allowance does not renew — once the 7-day period ends or all 3 stories have been used, a paid subscription is required to continue.
When you choose to subscribe to a paid plan and enter your payment details, your payment method is charged immediately at the start of your subscription period — there is no separate trial period for paid subscriptions. The free trial described in Section 3.1 (3 free stories, no credit card required) is the only free trial we offer.
You may cancel your subscription at any time before your next renewal date to avoid future charges. See Section 4.2 for details on cancellation.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) at the then-current price. By subscribing you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Account Settings page or by emailing hello@bedtimesparkles.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to your plan until that date. We do not provide pro-rata refunds for unused time within a paid billing period except as described in our Refund Policy.
We may change subscription prices at any time. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice of any price increase before it applies to your account.
Story credits are allocated monthly and do not roll over to the next billing period. Unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle.
You own the stories generated through your account. We claim no intellectual property rights over the content of stories created for you.
By using the service you grant us a limited licence to store and display your stories to you within the platform. We do not use your stories to train AI models and do not share them with third parties without your consent.
Stories are generated for personal, non-commercial use within your family. You may not resell, redistribute, or publish generated stories commercially without our written permission.
Stories are generated by AI and are fictional. We do not guarantee factual accuracy and content should be treated as entertainment only.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Bedtime Sparkles relies on the following third-party services to deliver its functionality: Stripe (payments), Supabase (data storage), Anthropic (AI story generation), OpenAI (AI image generation), and Lulu (print-on-demand). Your use of Bedtime Sparkles is also subject to the terms and privacy policies of these providers.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Bedtime Sparkles and its officers, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of goodwill — arising out of or in connection with your use of the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Bedtime Sparkles is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice within the app at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
